I am not a world traveler. I went to Canada a couple of times with my parents when I was a kid, but that’s the only time I have ever left the USA.
That doesn’t mean I haven’t traveled. Before the Internet, I explored Ancient Rome with my beloved Latin teacher Mrs. Agulia. I haunted corners of London with Dickens and the Lake Country with the Romantic poets. I heard the surf echo though Fingal’s Cave with Mendelssohn and a storm brew over the Austrian countryside with Beethoven.
Now, I have real and virtual friends all over the world. In this blog, I will share my own local adventures (with occasional forays farther afield), memories of past travels, and quirky insights from more exotic (for me) correspondents.
