Children’s Books Maine Caldecott Winners by Robert McCloskey

In the days before National Picture Book Idea Month, it’s fun to look at favorite picture books by other authors and illustrators. Today, with Hurricane Sandy bearing down on the east coast of the United States (friends and family there–you are in our thoughts), the beautiful classic Time of Wonder  by Robert McCloskey comes to mind. In McCloskey’s books, the setting was a character.
